Home battery

The Klimabonus 2026 subsidises the installation of a residential storage battery coupled with a PV installation.

Heat pump

EV charging station

The charging station is part of the HEMS system (Home Energy Management System). The HEMS aid of €500 is granted when at least 2 devices are connected (PV inverter, battery, charger, heat pump…).

The Klimabonus subsidises thermal insulation and energy renovation works, with an overall cap of €50,000.

Global renovation bonus

Interest-free loan up to €100,000 to finance works eligible for the Klimabonus.

Social top-up +25%

Low-income households benefit from a 25% top-up on Klimabonus aid.

HEMS €500

Aid for an energy management system connecting ≥ 2 devices (PV, battery, charger, heat pump…).

Pre-financing

The PV subsidy can be deducted directly from the installer's invoice, no upfront payment needed.

Have an audit carried out (free myenergy energy advice) to identify priority works.

Declaration on guichet.lu

Declare your project online on guichet.lu before starting works. You will receive an acknowledgement.

Carrying out the works

Have the works carried out by a certified installer. Keep all invoices and certificates.

Aid request

Submit your aid request within 12 months of completion via guichet.lu.

Payment

The aid is paid by bank transfer after validation of the file (average delay: 2 to 4 months).

Eligibility conditions

Home in Luxembourg

The applicant must be the owner or tenant of a home located in the Grand Duchy.

Certified installer

The works must be carried out by a professional authorised in Luxembourg.

Technical standards

Materials and equipment must comply with European standards and Klimabonus criteria.

Prior declaration

The declaration must be submitted on guichet.lu before starting works.

Application deadline

The aid request must be submitted within 12 months of the end of works.

Energy certificate before/after

An energy performance certificate may be required for renovation works.

Frequently asked questions

Are subsidies retroactive?
No. The declaration on guichet.lu must be made before starting works in order to benefit from Klimabonus subsidies.
What is the deadline for submitting the aid request?
You have 12 months after the end of works to submit your aid request via guichet.lu.
Are second homes eligible?
No. Only the main residence in Luxembourg is eligible for Klimabonus aid.
Is self-building eligible?
Generally no. Works must be carried out by an authorised professional. Exception: attic insulation in self-build may be eligible under certain conditions.
Until when is the Klimabonus programme valid?
The programme is confirmed at least until 2030. Amounts and conditions may be adjusted annually.
Can several subsidies be combined?
Yes. Klimabonus, 3% VAT, Klimaprêt and municipal aid can be combined. The 25% social top-up is added as well.
