How the Luxembourg solar calculator works

The calculator uses the official Klimabonus rates: the formula P × (1,155 − 1,155/35 × P) €, where P is the capacity in kWp (minimum 2 kWp, self-consumption). Residential PV support is capped at €10,000, reached at about 15 kWp.

Batteries receive a separate grant calculated with the formula Q × (500 − 500/18 × Q) €, capped at €2,250 from 9 kWh, provided the battery is coupled to a PV system.

We deliberately work in ranges. The final amount depends on the audited invoice, the chosen configuration and the administrative decision.

What does a solar installation cost in Luxembourg?

For a single-family house, expect €1,400 to €2,000 per kWp turnkey. Small systems cost proportionally more than large ones.

A battery adds roughly €700 to €1,100 per kilowatt-hour. Its value depends mostly on your consumption profile.
