SME Packages, Sustainability: up to €17,500 to make your business greener
Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy reimburses 70% of the eligible costs of a sustainability project between €3,000 and €25,000 excl. VAT, up to €17,500 in aid. Here's how the programme works, who qualifies and how Vert.lu helps you find the right provider.
What is SME Packages, Sustainability?
A public aid scheme for Luxembourg SMEs that want to reduce their environmental impact: energy efficiency, mobility, circular economy, water, decarbonation, ESG reporting. The company chooses a « package » with an accredited provider, delivers the project, then gets reimbursed 70% of the excl.-VAT amount by the Ministry of the Economy.
Who is eligible?
Any company that holds a business licence issued by the Ministry of the Economy, meets the SME criteria (headcount, turnover, balance sheet) and has its registered office in Luxembourg. Craft businesses go through the eHandwierk service of the Chambre des Métiers, others through the House of Sustainability of the Chambre de Commerce.
How much can you receive?
The project must be between €3,000 and €25,000 excl. VAT. The subsidy covers 70% of eligible costs, so up to €17,500 reimbursed after delivery. The company pays the invoice and receives the subsidy when the file is closed.
The 5-step process
1) Free pre-analysis by the House of Sustainability or eHandwierk to identify priority actions. 2) Choose the package and the provider, and prepare the quote. 3) Submit the file to the Validation Committee (Chambers, Luxinnovation, Klima-Agence, Ministry of the Economy). 4) Provider delivers the package. 5) Evaluation meeting, invoice payment and subsidy transfer.

Companies listed on Vert.lu reach SMEs whose project is partly state-funded, meaning a defined budget and a faster buying decision.
